Hi Church,
What a powerful week of pressing in to prayer. I really believe the Lord is stirring us to draw closer to Jesus, not simply carry on with familiar routines. On Sunday I shared the question that challenged me during my retreat: What would it look like to re-orientate our lives and our Church towards His presence?
Moses would not move forward without God’s presence. David longed to dwell with Him, and Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet. Their desire challenges us to move beyond good intentions into wholehearted devotion. Church, we don’t just need a well-run programme; we need hearts burning for Jesus.
At our prayer gatherings, the Bible, candle, bread and wine, and anointing oil pointed us again to His Word, His light, His sacrifice and His Spirit. Then came another important reminder: we are His Body. Drawing closer to Jesus must also draw us closer to one another in love, honour and humble service.
So this week, ask yourself: What needs to move so Jesus can be at the centre? Let’s make room for His Word, press in with prayer and see one another through His love. Let’s not just administrate—let’s carry His presence into our world.
Remember, Church, the Christmas Markets are fast approaching, and we need volunteers to help make it a successful day for us and the community who will attend. Please consider how you can lend a hand. It’s a great opportunity to serve together, welcome our neighbours, celebrate our Artists and Craft People and show the love of Jesus in a practical way. Email Amanda or Jess for your participation. Every helping hand makes a difference!
This week I will be away at Crosslink National Conference, It will be the last conference that Pastor Brian Medway will be the Apostolic Leader, he will be retiring but still connected and He remains as our Board of reference, mentor and accountability.
Love and Blessings,
Ps Greg and Amanda
