Hi Church,
As usual we had a great family service over the weekend. There was much to celebrate with the Youth leading us in Worship, the Kingdom Kids, led by Lincoln doing a Bible reading and a huge number of extras involved in Skits alongside Carin and Kaidee in their impromptu acting mayhem. We had video updates on operation Christmas Child and Amanda encouraging us how to fill a box and give a plug for the next Youth Philippines Outreach in 2027. We had wonderful stories of outreach and salvation from Carin and Neve and Abbey. Bree did a great job service leading holding all this together and keeping it all focused on Jesus.
The big theme for the day was “where and what is your treasure”? For where your treasure is there your heart will be also Matthew 6:21. Kaidee and Carin did an amazing skit reminding us of just how fragile our worldly treasures are and how easily they are lost in comparison to heavenly treasures. With everything that happened my message for the day was not possible. However, it meant we focused on what was important, which was praying for the best treasure that we could take to heaven with us. That was family and friends who we introduced to Jesus and who received the gift of eternal life. It was a joy to see whole families and groups of friends praying together for many more people to receive salvation.
I’m looking forward to sharing the remainder of my preaching content this Sunday coming because I believe the Lord wants to get our attention about what should be our highest priority. If you don’t know the answer is found in Matthew 6:19-34.
